Welcome to the year of our Lord 1999. Our light will shine in ninety-nine. This year our Lord will light us up so bright that we will shine for all to see -- not ourselves but the reflection of Him. I've made a few resolutions and perhaps he Lord will have you join me. Just as diet and exercise affect the health of our body, so diet and exercise affect our spirit and soul, not physical food and physical exercise but spiritual food and exercise. Our spiritual food is that which we take into our mind through our senses. That which we see and hear and most importantly what we believe. Our spiritual exercise program is what we do with what we believe.

Just as with our food there are foods that will make us strong and healthy and foods that make us fat and slow, so there are words that form ideas that become beliefs that will either make us strong and healthy or make us weak. The bible says that I place before you life and death…choose life. Who and what we are is not determined by what we eat but what we think. So this year I am determined to get healthy on the word of God. To worship the God of the word and believe His word over everything people say and do to believe his word over every circumstance. The way to do this is to spend more time with Him.

To feed on His word to dwell in His presence even when my physical presence may be at work at school walking riding wherever I am wherever I go I just want to be with Jesus. I will limit the amount of time I spend listing watching things contrary to God.

How I feel and who I am will be determined by God s spirit and what His word says, not what people say and do. I will imitate those who are now inheriting the promises of God not those who walk in unbelief. I will exercise my faith daily. I will succeed by the power of the Holy Spirit, I will reign in my life as a King because I receive Gods overflowing grace and the gift of righteousness. Life will not rule me circumstances will not rule me but I submit myself to Gods grace and receive His peace as my state of being and His light will shine in ninety-nine through me as me. This month I go to the federal prison, The public schools in Texas and then on to India for most of February. In all these places I look at the eyes of the young people for the eyes are the windows of the soul. I see the hopelessness the death the hunger. I know the truth and the love of God I have the Hope of the resurrection death has no hold or fear for the Christian. I look into the eyes and I sing my song of hope I give my life to the hopeless that they to will receive the comfort that God has given me. Here is our prayer.

Father in Jesus name I stand before you and renew my commitment to follow you and your way and your will for me. Help me holy spirit for I cannot do this thing without you. Fill me fresh with the water of your spirit your joy and your peace. I let the peace of God rule and reign in my heart. I let the word of God take dominance in my thoughts, and I ask you father to show me how to serve you.

In the name of Jesus, Amen

Get up ten minutes earlier in the morning and sit quietly for five of those minutes and just say the name of Jesus over and over. Then take the other five minutes to open the New Testament and take a scripture for the day and as you go through the day think on that scripture and let it rule and reign in your heart. You sill find that this diet of Gods life will fill you to overflowing and you will shine in ninety-nine.
