Dear Brothers and Sisters in this life,
I know this letter falls on the heels of my last letter but I believe the message is urgent. I pray this letter finds you in health and prospering. God has commanded blessings on all that we put our hand to. It is God's will. Our heavenly father wants us to succeed, to be in health and to do well not only in our finances, our family, our personal well being, but to have an attitude of success so that we can succeed at spreading the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Recent tragic events here in Colorado cry out to our hearts. Once again the enemy, who comes to kill, steal, and distroy, has struck our young people. We must strike back. Together, we can and are reaching many of the young people of this country and across the world. We must and will pray feverishly for the families of the victims and for the families of the young people who committed these atrocities. They have to be devastated. And we must pray for the young people who survive that they will not live in fear; that the powers of darkness trying to embed their evil claws in their hearts will have to remove them and go to the dry places never to return.
I watch the reactions here and across our nation; school administrators, teachers and principals, all in shocked disbelief. In tears, they exclaim "I just don't understand how this thing could happen!" Government officials throw more and more money at a system of education that doesn't work. More money is not the solution. You cannot keep applying the same solution to a problem and expect to get a different result. Our courts are filled, our prisons are filled, and the judges have no solutions. I do. I know what the problem is and I know what the solution is.
We have pulled the moral carpet out from under the feet of our young people. We have given them no moral absolutes. We have imposed a system of situation ethics that do not work for adults let alone children who have no frame of reference to draw from neither in training or experience. The enemy has executed a three-prong attack against life and against God. He has succeeded in separating God from our judicial system, our government, our arts, and our families. In a recent supreme court decision where prayer was not allowed at a high school graduation, the supreme court said, "...prayer would force unfair values on their young minds..." Not only are high school graduates capable of thinking and forming moral attitudes but they already have. The statistics tell us that 90% of those who do not get born again before their sixteenth birthday, never will. Moral values are established long before high school. High school is in fact where they are demonstrated and tested. Does not the Supreme Court of the United States of America have any idea what the mind of the average teen in America is exposed to on a daily basis? Do they not know the warped and twisted values that are crammed into the hearts of our children by television and movies and music? Do they not know that they have crippled the ability of educators to teach morality? Do they not know that they will stand before God and be held accountable for the role they play in the destruction of our moral fiber and the consequent death it caused?
Before the supreme court decisions that removed God from our schools and allowed the murder of unborn children, the worst disciplinary problems in our schools were chewing gum and being late for class. Nowhere in our constitution or our declaration of independence does it say that there should be a separation of God and state. Our founding fathers wanted to protect us from the state forming a church but not to separate our government from God. No government is morally qualified to lead spiritually or educate our children. For the first hundred years or so, our nation's school buildings were the churches. The teachers were pastors. The textbook was the Bible. The body of Christ started most of the major universities. Judges were to be God's representatives in dispensing His justice among men. We allowed our government to kick God out of our schools and the devil moved in.
In the area of the arts, the devil uses music and the media to teach his way of life. The devil is limited in his ability to reach the world so he has captivated and deceived the media in order to reach the world and most specifically the minds of our young people, our future. There is nothing that penetrates and programs the human mind and touches the heart of people like music, for it is only music that is taken, without reservation, over and over again, directly into the heart and mind. Does art imitate life or does life imitate art? In the area of music, art is not copying what is happening, it is dictating what is happening. Death and distruction is being hammered into the hearts and minds of not just our young people but is affecting us all. Hear me musicians, disc jockeys, record companies, distributors of music, writers, artists. Hear me well. You will stand before God and you will be held accountable for the part you have played in the death and destruction of our children. I believe there is a special place in hell waiting for you.
The third area of attack is the family. We now have young people who see abortion as merely another means of birth control. One of the arguments for birth control was that it would eliminate child abuse; both sexual and physical. Just the opposite has occurred. There is more child abuse today than ever before! Human life has been so cheapened by abortion that the death of children has become an acceptable solution to the inconvenience of child rearing and the sacred trust of motherhood has been distroyed. Parenting has been substituted by selfishness. Where are the fifty million or so that have been killed? Yes, I grieve for the loss of life in Colorado but it is small compared to the millions murdered under our law by abortions. How many poets will we never read? How many doctors and nurses and teachers will never serve? How many songs will never be sung or heard? Yes, it is a tragedy. Yes, we must pray and we will grieve but we must DO something too. No matter what the law says, we must take the healing comforting life of Jesus to a dying world. They will send psychologists, and psychiatrists to counsel the survivors in Denver. They will try to make sense of the senseless, they will try to reason the unreasonable; to explain the unexplainable.
But what is needed is the comfort of the Holy Spirit,"the comforter." They need the peace of God to rule their hearts and they need the love of Jesus. Jesus said in John ten verse ten that "the thief (the devil) comes to kill, steal, and destroy but I have come that you may have life and to have it more abundantly." No matter what our law says, I will take that life, that love, that peace to a hurting dying world. Thank you for your prayers and your financial support. Together we do make a difference. There are many children alive because you care.
Here is our prayer:
Father, in Jesus name, I pray for our nation and the world. I pray for those in charge that we would have a peaceful life in all Godliness. I pray that those in charge, the judges, the presidents, the kings, the teachers, the lawyers, the police, all those we have given authority to over our lives, would bow their knees and submit themselves to your will and your way, in Jesus name. I pray for all whom have lost children that they would be comforted. I pray for those who survive the loss that they would find comfort in you, Lord, our comforter. And I pray for myself that I would receive your peace in my heart and that I would have the courage to stand up and speak your words and live openly for you, father God, all of my days on the earth. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
Kathie and I are moving to Texas. We will be in fellowship with the Church on the Rock under the covering of pastor Ron Hammonds. We believe we will be able to reach even more people through our travels from there and through our recording studio and through the other media means. Even taking territory on the Internet through the cyber church.
In all the love of Christ, I remain your servant in Jesus.
